Alexander Pope wrote a couplet for the collar of the king's spaniel, so that anyone examining the tag to find out the animal's name would read:

I am his Majesty's dog at Kew

at the moment i am very, very firmly my three month old son's girl, which will probably make responding to this in depth difficult. but i loved it, both the idea and the writing, especially the bit about the old women. <3
