That's what writing groups are for, to catch such momentous mistakes :-). I'll bet by the end, everyone was laughing, huh? It's part of why writing groups are so fun. I love my group.

Wow, congratulations on your appointment with SFWA, that's got to be something else! And cool beans re your new book, what a great accomplishment.

I don't remember if I've posted to your blog or not, but I've been enjoying your posts and such, so thought I'd say hi!

Actually, in Alma's defense, I was caught up in the story and didn't notice the moment abuse until she pointed it out afterward. I'm looking forward to the last four chapters!

I groaned in sympathy when I read your post. I've been ripping moments out of a novel lately. They sneak in when nobody's looking.

I've probably got a Moment-Demon following me around, adding them to my manuscript when I'm not looking. I've been fighting with Then-Devil most recently. Another one to watch out for: "That". He can be partiucularly insidious.
