I am hurt and offended by the arrant sexism you and she put forth; namely, that Secrets of Jin-Shei is (and, by extension, that your other books are) for, or that the appeal to, women only. And that women are the only people of importance. After all, SoJ-S is "the most universal one [you've] ever written". Are we to then assume that such universality only applies to women? That theirs are the only eyes allowed, as in the secret language you proposed in your books, to see the Secrets revealed? Such gender bigotry cannot be allowed to grow unchecked and unchallenged.

You may expect me to show up with pickets and placards of protest when next you appear on the East Coast, Ms. Alexander--if, in fact, that is even your real name ...
