She really is. Like, I imagine, a lot of people, I never really thought all that much of her based on the poems that tend to get anthologized particularly in anthologies geared towards younger readers, and then I read some of her less-well-known stuff as an adult and was like holy shit.Wild Nights and is all "bzuh?" but it's not so much that that was eye-opening as her poetry about depression...)

I TOTALLY DON'T REMEMBER THE NAME OF IT
SHE HAD AN OLDER SISTER NAMED CHICAGO WHO HAD AN ELECTRA COMPLEX

(did you ever read M.E. Kerr's autobiography? I used to have a copy and it was really cool and of course it got trashed when my parents threw out all of my old YA books.)
