Ben welles of lif to the goode,
Namely the stronde of his side,
That ran full breme on the Rode.

Yif thee liste to drinke,

Nice juxtaposition. Content whiplash, this time.

The amount of reading I've been doing the past couple of days about drinking blood makes me think I might be misguided in my belief that I'm interested in Catholicky devotional literature.

Hee! Well, I actually am Catholic and thus used to the blood-drinking, but on the other hand, most devotional literature does not imagine it quite so close to the source. At least, the more recent stuff doesn't. ;)
