Here's one by my beloved Samuel Daniel.

The edition that I got this from, which contains Daniel's shorter poems (Delia and The Complaint of Rosamond), as well as Musophilus and A Defence of Ryme, has this whole spiel about how The Civil Wars was a mistaken endeavor because it's just "verse chronicle" and thus Not Beautiful.
