And I AM "passionate to the point of insanity."

I just got out of bed and am generally work-avoidant enough to take quizzes about series of books I have not actually read but am thinking about. (Beth said I would probably like it okay if I wanted leisure reading as it is obviously based on the Wars of the Roses.)

Song of Ice and Fire quiz. Bits of this are highly accurate. Not the 'fucking your siblings' part, because ew. I hope none of them are reading this, because there is no way to bring up this issue that is not highly disturbing in some way. Anyway. Other bits of this kind of work. Also I get where the whole 'similar to the plantagenets' thing comes in. Heh. )

mental hygiene, soviet cartoons, i have so long keepe shepe, stalking the rsc (but not really lj), slings & arrows, dreams, links

Be that as it may, the books are incredibly tedious and have pretty much the shallowest and most pointless character development of any super huge cult hit fantasy series I've ever had the misfortune to read. But apparently I'm the only person on the planet with that opinion. :P

It does give me an opportunity to use this icon you made, though.

I got House Tully, which does not surprise me much at all.

And you should totally read ASOIAF, with the caveats that a) there is quite a lot of violence, much of it graphic, some of it sexual; and b) it is an unfinished series that is being written at a glacially slow pace, and contains major cliffhangers.

I'm a Tully, too, it seems. orts September 2 2007, 14:29:23 UTC
Yeah, the George RR Martin books are pretty damn good.
