So I mentioned two posts ago that the old Folger Richard II I bought was heavily annotated by its previous owner, or one of its previous owners anyway, as all the notes appear to be in the same hand and the same ink. No no no. Sack powers. Obviously, Richard's alcohol tolerances were tied to his crown, staff, balm, etc. Like Sampson and his hair, without the royal thingies, he has no sack powers and becomes a drunken, whining pansy.

But not to fear! Later there's Hal, with truly impressive sack powers. And the people rejoiced.
