any notes, Oliver?

I just watched the last ep of Slings & Arrows and my immediate reaction (no spoilers) is somewhere between "WAAAAAAAAAAH" and "Damn, but that is good TV," and now I am all teary and puffy-faced.

But! Awesomeness!

I don't have cable, so there's no other way for me to see it. Sigh.

YES.

Especially because certain elements of it (she says trying to remain spoiler-free) really made me think of recentish events in my life and, well, WAH.

Dontcha love it? I want more about those people - especially Geoffrey - and I want to see their productions live, especially King Lear.

OMG yes. I am currently contemplating how to hook up my little TV/VCR combo back up to the cable box so I can tape the final episode and then show the ending of Lear to my class when I teach Lear in a couple of weeks, because HOLY SHIT.

And yeah -- I thought the finale did a pretty good job bringing a sense of closure to everything, but at the same time, I like everybody and I'm kind of going to miss them! ;)

(BTW, I got my diss director hooked on S&A this weekend. It was the antitheatrical preacher at Oliver's funeral that really did it.)

Oh yes - perfect!

I like everybody and I'm kind of going to miss them! ;)

I love it that Geoffrey went on to found the "Theatre Sans Argent". It would be fun to see their adventures.

I hoped for better from Richard, but... it did all seem to fit together as it came out.

I like everybody and I'm kind of going to miss them! ;)

Well done! I was sending recordings of that show to various friends - particularly for Shakespeare-loving Americans - for Christmas a few yeas in a row. Now I'll have to find an alternative present.
