I'm inclined to say no, because I think he was probably rescued by a Random Romance Plot Device That Keeps You From Sleeping With People When You Shouldn't, cf. the knight with the detachable head in the Tale of Gareth ... but it's been a long time since I've read The Faerie Queene, so I couldn't say for sure.

Not so much what the hell are you on about as what the hell are you on? It's Redcrosse/Una all the way. Why else would Archimago have had the imp look like Una?
