It was for a lovely course called Metamorphic Poetics, where we started with Virgil, spent a long time on Ovid, touched on Chaucer and Spenser and Thomas Heywood before reading MSND and ending on Milton's Comus. Much fun was had.

I think it's better to go from hate to love, though, rather than discovering that the author you OMG loved is actually kind of rubbish... That kind of disillusionment is hard to take. :(
