That first sentance only comes out of the mouths of residents in one town. It also happens that there's this big book sale at this mall, down the street from me.
And yes, they get a lot of them from the rejects of school lit collections, esp places like Burroughs and MICDS. Though last year, I bought some ARCs of a couple historical novels, and they made these last few weeks a whole lot more motivated, having something to look foward to when I finished all the papers.
