So I got paid today, and in celebration I ordered a copy of the RSC's Essential Shakespeare CD, which has bits and pieces from most of the high-profile productions of the last 50 years or so. I am positively brimming with squee, although since it won't be released until 25 October I'll have to wait about a month for it

Dude! I iconed the Heath heroines about five million years ago (okay, maybe like two years ago). They are all rather drippy, although the second picture of Margaret has something of that "do not EVEN" paper-crowning psycho look. :)

There seems to have been a vogue for that sort of thing in the 19th century. There's another set of drippy heroines here, although they're not quite so drippy as Heath's... ;)
