I had a very strange dream last night in which I was stage-managing at some kind of outdoor theater production which was either Richard II or The Tempest -- it wasn't entirely clear which, or rather it seemed to switch back and forth. I was trying to get the cast to do vocal warmups and most of them wouldn't. Prats. ;)

There's a production of The Compleat Works of William Shkspr going here... I considered attending, but ran into two maing stopping points:

a) The U of S drama dept isn't exactly stellar
b) Who would I go with?

I just bought my own copy of the Compleat Shkspr- watch out for the footnotes. ;) When I was in London, the RSC had 3 shows in rep, all of which I saw. Student concessions, i <3 you. ;)

And I also <3 R&G Are Dead- my very first Stoppard, awwww. ;) The play is much better than the movie version, IMHO- it plays with the ideas of theatre in fascinating ways that a film is just incapable of doing. :) I hope you enjoy your purchases! I thumbed through the Arden H5 myself today- clearly, we are linked on the high plane of Buying Too Many Books. ;)
