Just ordered a few parenting books. It's my hope they'll be useful. It's my even stronger hope that we'll actually read them, as opposed to other parenting books that we already have and haven't read yet.

parenthood, parenting, english

What kind of parenting books?
If you find any of them useful or/and interesting, please write about them!

I think I got three different ones: about raising happy kids, raising boys and then something about generally how parenting does matter and what to do in different circumstances. Somewhere at home I also have a book about discipline.

Audio books don't work for you?

They work great for Igor, so if you have any of parenting books on audiobooks, could we have a copy? :)

I'm just asking. It's usually easier to find time to listen to a book if finding time to read one is a problem.

It's not time per se. I'm not sure what's the issue there -- my guess is that they simply haven't made it to our kitchen table, where most of the book reading happens :)

When I started working with kids, my mom recommended a book: How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk. I've read it repeatedly and learn new valuable things each time -- I highly recommend it if you don't already have it.

we have it. We also have a preschool discipline book by the same author -- it's also good.
