это, наверное, number theory класс? очень полезно, ещё заодно ребенок к формальному языку привыкнет сразу. у нас в деревне такого нет :) а от родителей никакая наука в ток не идёт!

у меня есть вопрос: есть ли такое, что при очень интенсивных тренировках детей (майки нужно переодевать 2-3 раза) тренеры запрещали пить, и еще полчаса после тренировки?

х^42 =1 and х^70= 1 implies х^28=1 and hence, x is not a primitive 42nd root. So R and S are disjoint. Why are they learning complex numbers in the sixth grade? Do they know trigonometric functions already?

Who are these nebulous "they" everyone is referring to? I never said this was what a typical 6th grader covered in school --
only that mine got to do it in 6th grade, thus proving to me that I can fail to help a 6th grader with his math homework.

Yes, students taking this particular class already know trigonometric functions, identities, etc. And so does my son. I have no idea if there are any other six graders in his class (although there may be) or that other six graders know trigonometry.

My 4th grader covered complex numbers in her school math class this past year, although they didn't get as far as roots of unity, of course. I think there may have been another 4th grader in her math class, although I'm not sure. At least that I can ask her when she wakes up :).
