Does anyone have a name (aside from "stalking") for those kind of personals that appear at the back of Drum Media (or similar) and say things like:

I SAW YOU: Cute girl on the tram to Uni. I was the creepy guy with hands down my pants. I was… looking for my keys. Call me.

Or:

Dear 86 Tram Man That I See Semi-Regularly

Sadly I came close to posting such an ad for a girl I met on a Mountain top once. She was with friends, I was with friends we got pulled apart, I should have asked for her number, yup pathetic springs to mind.

as for what you call them, me thinks missed connections sometimes, sometimes not.

Yeah, I also like the label missed connections. Sounds more romantic than stalking.

I absolutely love those little ads in the back of the Drum...I love that they could just be crap to fill up the space, and I love that they might be real

I love that someone would write to the drum with love in their heart and with hope in their eyes...

unrequited love is the phrase that comes to my mind

and I admire how very brave they are to bare their soul to the world
