Tales of Love in French Film and Literature is the absolute best class ever. It goes into history, it goes into philosophy, it goes into psychology, it goes into gender differences, goes into ethics and it's totally almost purely a discussion course - I'm in mad love with it.

For the first question, I don't think there is a difference. Not between blessings/miracles and magick, anyway, the wiccan kind. It's all a matter of... well, imagry. Mentally picturing it happening, maybe saying something to help focus the engergy. That's all prayers and blessings are, in my opinion. Helped by whichever god or goddess you call on, yes, but still.

And... second... um... well. Cults usually exist for the sole purpose of getting money for their head honcho - and there is only one or a handful. Religion is about actual spiritual health and enlightenment.
