I run my game for the guys who go to concerts for the explicit purpose of starting riots, keeping people distracted and dealing with that all evening. I run it for the joy of seeing the looks on their faces when I tell them that the vampire at the center of the maze has a cow head. I run it for the shark man that kidnapped the Mad Hatter.

I run it because the game needs to be fun for it to have a purpose, and I enjoy doing so, and hope to help others do so as well.

But damn! I wish my players would write and perform metal. I would be impressed.
