Donghae’s been missing for a week. Super Junior’s dorm is in chaos because they are all panicking and worrying about him.
Donghae never contacted anyone in their group, not even Hyukjae. The latter seems to be oblivious because he doesn’t look like he cares. Leeteuk is nearly going to faint because their manager is pressuring him to find Donghae soon.
“I’m going to kill Donghae once he got in here.” Heechul declares as he went inside his room, slamming the door.
“I hope he’s fine.” Ryeowook says as he glanced over Leeteuk who is still staring at the front door.
Evening comes and there’s still no sight of Donghae. Seven days, Leeteuk couldn’t stand it anymore. He can’t just sit there and wait for whenever his friend wants to come home. He decides that he must find Donghae. He was about to open the door when someone from the outside pressed their doorbell. He immediately opens it and embraced the person in front of him.
“Don’t do this again Hae.”
“I’m sorry hyung. Something came up.”
“OH! Donghae-hyung is here! He’s back!” Ryeowook screams and everyone else ran towards the door, seeing an apologetic Donghae in front of them. They all gasped when someone from his behind appear. “Hae-appa, who are they?”
“APPA?!?!”
--
Donghae is forced to seat in the couch as Leeteuk and the others who don’t have schedules that night started to bombard him questions. He keeps his mouth shut. Leeteuk pleads him to answer their questions but Donghae seems to be hesitating.
“Fine. I will tell you what exactly happened but first, I want you all to promise me that you will let me finish talking before you ask me questions again.”
“Deal.”
Donghae sighs as he started to tell them what exactly happened a week ago and why didn’t he return to their dorm.
(Flashback)
Donghae was excited to tell his mom a great decision he ever made so he asked his mom to go out for lunch. He was eating with his mom in a Japanese restaurant on his free day when a lady approached them.
“Mrs. Lee, I’m glad to see you here. Can you look after my kid for a couple of minutes? I’m just going to buy something across the street.”
“Sure Haneul-ah. I’ll look after Hana neh.” The little kid stood far away from them, feeling shy. Donghae called her and she didn’t need to be called twice because she ran straight towards him. Donghae felt happy as the kid smiles widely at him.
He played with the kid while waiting for her mom. He looked outside to see if her mom is on her way back and she is but he immediately covered the little girl’s eyes as Donghae clearly saw that her mom was hit by a truck passing by.
He was so shocked that he embraced the little girl tight. His mom gasped at the sight and instantly went to her outside, calling for an ambulance. She asked Donghae to stay inside the restaurant and don’t let the little kid look outside. Donghae complied as he just continued to hug her.
When everything was cleared outside, he let go of her and stared at her eyes. He received a message from his mom, telling him that Hana was already an orphan, meaning the little kid doesn’t have any relative anymore. Donghae felt really sorry for her because he knew how it feels like when someone you love passed away. The kid just smiles at him as he stares at her then something crossed his mind and thought about it for a moment. Maybe it’s not that bad since it doesn’t hurt to have an additional family member, right?
“Hana baby, call me Hae-appa.”
--
“So that’s how Hana became my daughter.” Donghae finishes his story and all of them are shockingly listening to him.
“So you have a daughter now? She needs a mother! You can’t be a single parent besides you still have so many commitments!” Leeteuk panics.
“Relax hyung, I already talk this about with LSM and they are already agreed. We didn’t tell manager-hyung because he might spill it to you guys. I’m sorry.”
“So that’s why you’ve been missing the whole week.”
Donghae goes to the kitchen to see Hana and Sungmin playing with his bunny plushie. He smiles at how Hana is enjoying her new found ‘uncle’s company. “Neh, so Hana should love uncle Sungmin like how Hana loves Hae-appa, okay?” Hana nods as Sungmin finally gives her one bunny plushie. She embraces Sungmin’s arm. “Thank you uncle Sungmin!”
Then she ran off to Donghae and she hugs his leg. Donghae lifts her up and carried her in his arms. They both go to the living room to see more excited uncles waiting for them. Donghae introduces his bandmates to her and she frowns. “Hana cannot remember. Appa, slow down.”
They all chuckle at the sight of a cute little kid who is more confused than ever. It might be a big shock for her to see so many uncles in her life. They all played with her as they all wanted the little girl to remember their names.
Donghae watches them from the side as he waits for Hyukjae to return from his schedule. Leeteuk makes his way to his side and whispers, “So what’s this great decision that you wanted to tell your mom? Care to tell me, Hae?” Donghae is stunned as his hyung remembered it. He thought no one would ask but this hyung beside him right now is really one of a kind.
“I’m actually planning to ask Hyukkie to marry me. I asked my mom if it’s fine with her and she agreed but I never imagined that I’ll be having a daughter before marriage. Although I wanted to adopt her in the first place, I’m not sure what will Hyukkie’s reaction be since I never contacted any of you for a week.”
Speaking of which, Hyukjae appears in the living room, looking worn out. He is ignored by his members since the others are playing with a little kid and Leeteuk and Donghae are having a serious conversation in a corner. He tries to smile and quietly walks towards his room when the little girl said something out loud.
“Hyukkie-appa!” Everyone in that room including Hyukjae and Donghae gasp in surprise. Hyukjae turns around to see the little girl smiling widely at him and she is like asking him to carry her.
“What? I sang a song for her and she knows this monkey who did nothing and appeared just now?! Aish.” Heechul stomps his feet and goes back to his room.
Hyukjae stares intently at the little kid. He is asking himself so many questions when the kid disturbed his thoughts. She clings onto his leg and embraces it tightly. He kneels just to match with the little kid’s height. She throws herself to him and lucky that Hyukjae caught her.
“Hyukkie-appa, will you marry Hae-appa?”
Donghae smiles. It’s not the kind of proposal he got in his mind but it seems to be not a bad idea after all. He already explained to Hana before the he wants to marry a guy named Hyukjae and he even showed a photo of him to her, telling her to call him Hyukkie-appa. He chuckles when he remembered that he insisted that she should call him Hyukkie-umma but Hana looked so confused that time so he just let her call him appa.
“What’s your name?” Hyukjae asks the little girl as Donghae anticipates his answer. He glances towards Donghae and glared at him.
“My name is Hana.” The little girl replies lovingly as she continued to grin at him. She even pinches his cheeks playfully.
“Hana, why are you calling Hae, appa?” He asks slowly, trying to not to sound annoyed.
“Hana is Hae-appa’s daughter.” She answers cutely and Hyukjae stood up, making his way to Donghae and Leeteuk.
“Oh hi Hae. I hate you for making me worried for a week.” Everyone walked in to their own rooms as they don’t want to get involve in ‘haehyuk’s drama again.
Donghae kneels in front of Hyukjae. “I’m sorry Hyukkie. Something big came up. I was really busy arranging papers. Please, forgive me.” Hyukjae pulls him up and embraces him tight. “Just don’t do it again.”
Hana runs towards her appas and embraced Donghae’s leg. The couple broke their hug and Donghae lifted her up. “Hyukkie-appa, are you going to marry Hae-appa now?” She smiles adorably.
“Hyukkie-ah, well, I was planning to propose to you but this little girl here is excited and asked it herself. Will you marry me?”
“Yeah, it’s lame but cute at the same time.” Hyukjae pinches her cheeks and kissed her forehead. He looks at Donghae. “Yup, I will marry you Hae.”
“Yey! Hana has two appa! I love you Hae-appa.” She kisses Donghae’s cheek. “I love you Hyukkie-appa.” She kisses Hyukjae’s cheek and she hugged them both. The two dads just smiled at how adorable their daughter is. She stops being so hyper and stared at them. “What’s wrong baby?”
“Why aren’t Hae-appa and Hyukkie-appa kissing?” She asks innocently. The two blushes but Donghae being a tease he is, asks Hyukjae to kiss him first. Hyukjae jokingly punches Donghae’s arm since he’s quite embarrass to kiss Donghae in front of a little one.
As if Hana can read minds, she closes and covers her eyes with her hands. “Hana isn’t looking anymore! Hyukkie-appa can kiss Hae-appa now.”
The two chuckles at their endearing kid and Hyukjae decides to lean closer to Donghae. He gives him a quick peck on the lips but surprisingly, Donghae’s free hand pulls him closer and gave him a passionate one.
Hana peeks and saw a quite surprising sight. She shuts her eyes in an instant and wiggles to get out of Donghae’s hold. The two broke their kiss and Donghae puts down Hana. The little girl runs towards a random room. “Hana doesn’t want to see Hae-appa and Hyukkie-appa kiss!” She leaves her two dumbfounded dad in the living room.
