Well, for all the issues I have with the show, I still love it. ;) I guess I just try to sit back and enjoy as much as I can from it, as I refuse to get as involved with a show as I did with SGA. That show broke something in me, and I refuse to go down that path again. Merlin has its problems (many springing from the writers mainlining some of the characters for the sake of their target audience -- the kids), but there is still much enjoyment to be had. *pets it*

Really enjoyed this - a lovely snapshot of where the characters could be after the end of the series. Particularly liked Gwen - I think what you have for her goes really well with the round table scene and the scene at the end where she returns to Camelot escorted by the new knights.

Thanks! I really get the feeling that things are going to be changing for Gwen. We got a hint of it in that final scene, with her coming back home flanked by an escort of Camelot's newest and finest, and I'm really hoping to see more change in the new series too. Gwen's section is kind of putting that into words.

This was great. Loved how each of them had been changed. I really liked how you portrayed them, but esp. Merlin who was now giving orders. Well done.

Thank you! :) I really hope we get to see Merlin (and Gwen too) move up in the world next series, kind of showing them move closer to who they became in the legends, hence why Merlin is suddenly finding himself in a position of authority. :D

Very nice, I love seeing the characters' immediate reactions to things. Sometimes they get swept up in events and don't have time to process, or we just don't get to see it, like 3x13.

The one that really surprised me is Arthur - it didn't occur to me that he would think that way, and his reasoning seems to be borne out by Uther's segment. Poor boy! Now I really wish I'd included something along those lines in my own post-3x13 story...thanks for the inspiration. :)

Thank you for the lovely response! I'm thrilled that I inspired something for you with Arthur's segment. I myself have always wondered the same thing, if Uther might have had a bit more love to give to Morgana because she was his child, but whose existence hadn't cost Ygraine her life.
