I turned on Spike and saw that a Voyager episode was just starting, Prime Factors. In the teaser scene, where everyone is in the Mess Hall and B'Elanna starts demanding gossip from Harry about his date with Jenny Delaney in Venice, I suddenly had a thought that B'Elanna and and Harry are like a milder version of Shelley and Stan Marsh from South

Yeah, those two were great in the friendship department. So were Tom and Harry. Actually, As cheesy as Voyager was, the friendships that developed in the show were usually pretty decent. Tuvok and Janeway, Seven and Janeway (most of the time, anyway), Chakotay and Janeway, Tom and the Doctor (hilarious, those two), and so on.

Actually, I think Prime Factors is from Season One. The crew meets up with this alien guy who offers them a vacation and then they discover that the aliens have some kind of technology that could get Voyager home, but won't trade for it. So some of the crew, led by B'Elanna and Tuvok of all people, steal it and Janeway nearly commits murder when she hears about it.

*thinks hard* I think I vaguely remember that now. It was the race of people who were all superficial and didn't want to do anything if it wasn't pleasureable, right? Season One was so long ago... lol

Definitely don't remember the Harry/B'Elanna conversation, though. Wasn't he still fixated on his fiance back then?

Thanks, I commissioned that icon of emmy_roo back when Naomi stole my heart away. She went crazy and made me three Naomi icons, actually. LOL But I plan on using that particular one frequently as the elections draw closer. ;-)
