Given how much bitter I feel about the Ancients? This is perfect. I tend to fangirl the Ancients that don't stick to Ancient rules (Ganos Lal and Chaya especially). This is wonderful! After I get back from the store I plan to reread it a couple times over. *squees in delight*

Heh, yeah, I am in much the same boat. Ganos Lal, Merlin, Oma, Orlin, and Chaya (provided she keeps her paws off Lizzie's man) are all cool. My bitterness is directed mainly at the Others, as the dialogue shows.

But you like? Sweet! :)

Oh, I just adore this. Oh, yes. Ganos Lal doesn't strike me as one to play by the rules any more anyway.

My feeling about Chaya is that she was more attracted to John for the novelty of someone not from Proculus anyway. (I kind of liked writing her with John thinking she was crushing on him while she crushed on Lizzie instead, I have to admit.)

Merlin! I have much love for Merlin. It'd be awesome to write the story of Moros and Ganos Lal. I love Oma to death, even though I think she made major mistakes, plus Orlin too. And Ayiana, even though she never Ascended. (I don't care what canon says; I bet there's a way to Ascend without going all glowy. Canon's a whole mass of contradictions anyway.)

Really, I love your description of Elizabeth's death, and the thoughts she was having, plus Ganos Lal's explanations. You made Ganos Lal a real person, not just an unknowable Ancient. Which I adore.

I could glee more over this fic, but it would be difficult. :)

I'm glad you liked my interpretation of Ganos Lal. I look back at it and I already see some little things that I'd change, but overall, I do like her character as I wrote it. She and Moros do need some time together. Heck, the two of them should totally pwn the Others. :D The rest of them are all right, though these two are certainly my favorites.

As for Elizabeth's death, I was rather partial to having her go out in a blaze of glory sticking it to the Replicators. Because she totally would if she could manage it. ;)
