Seems to me that if you annoy the fans, you know you're doing something right! ;D

I thought that was the point! I attended the Joss Whedon school of writing, where you kill the favorite, never give the fans what they want, but give them so much better than they deserve!

Never, NEVER, call me that. "Fan." It's a dirty word.
*shudders* And as for Buffy fan: at one time. Then, I interacted with Buffy fans and learned how absolutely scary fandoms can be.
I still love the shows. I admire Joss' storytelling. But I've dealt with far too many bad fans to ever use that word.
