This is a lovely take on that prompt.
Nine is a hard one to get down the first few times. Takes some practice. Which is why I don't often write him.

Oh Nine, I've had to go back and watch some of season 1 to help me with all of his mannerisms and such. The Doctor as a character is hard to write as it is, the fact that certain regenerations are harder than others is just writer abuse.

As much as I'd love to take credit for the originality of this idea I really have to defer it to juliet316, who posted the prompt. I just let the muse do the work.
As a lover of the Doctor and Rose myself I couldn't just leave it that they were dead. There had to be a way out, so I found it and made it happen. The alternate ending is coming along, as is the next chapter of the Snow Queen. It turns out after I got it started it seems to be flowing along nicely.
