A French Deli, A French Bakery, and Off to the Mountains

This past weekend Mark and I had planned to hit a few estate sales, but as we neared the first sale, I had a change of heart and really wanted to drive up to the mountains. The weather was gorgeous and Mark was game!  We took off to Snoqualmie Pass. We stopped to pick up lunch along the way.

We chose "Porcella Urban Market" in Bellevue.

Thank you! It was SO much fun. I use Photobucket.com (free) and i copy the HTML code they give me and I post it here on the HTML section, then I click back over to Ruch text, and when I look at the photo on Rich text I left click once on the photo and then I right click once until I see a menu, and on the bottom it says : Image Properties. I go there and change the size.
Is that what you mean? Or have I totally missed the boat (which I'm famous for :)

Okay so the mufuletta is wrapped tight in the fridge.. the tepanade was smelling so good.. I was tempted to eat it right out of the bowl. yum. I didn't get ham but got sliced Italian chicken breast.. with the mortadella and the genoa salami.. and I couldnt find the provolone... so I put Jarlsburg in there since it's one of my absolute fav cheeses. .. but all the rest was the same. :)

Your snow pictures look like fun. It looked like a nice little getaway. I don't like snow that's deeper than my ankles so I want snow shoes too.. but don't think I will be getting them anytime soon since we go to the snow maybe twice a year.

I'm curious as to how it will taste with the chicken and different cheese. It's definitly going to be a different style, but I think half the fun with sandwiches are changing them and trying new things. I hope you love it. Please let me know how it turns out. The tapenade in this recipe is awesome!

I am a mountain mama, and I can't stay away. I really need to look around for some cheap snowshoes.

I'm so happy I "met" you on here.

You always have great picture posts. Thanks for sharing!
Speaking of beet salads, have you ever eaten at a restaurant called Volterra on Ballard Ave? When my husband and I were in Seattle a few years ago, that was our most memorable meal. I had the best roasted beet/arugula salad to start. The food, wine, service and atmosphere was just fantastic!

Thank you!

Oh yes! You picked a winner in Volterra! The only drawback I experienced was being squeezed in so tightly between other diners. The food was excellent.

I'm a beet lover!
