Claritin-D works well for me; Zyrtec didn't do much for me... I wish I had some right now, in fact.

I think it's different for everyone because Claritin did bupkus for me but Zyrtec works like a dream. I have such bad sinus problems though that I take the Zyrtec-D. The only problem I have with Zyrtec (or any decongestant for that matter, including Sudafed)is that if I take it anytime after 5pm I won't sleep. Well, I can fall asleep it's just STAYING asleep that's a problem. So I can only take it in the morning otherwise I'm in for a rough night.

it's not herbal remedies per se, but herbal supplements of stuff that actually works. it's fine when my allergies are so-so, but liek i said during this time of year they don't help as much. i still take the supplements anyway cos it's good for cell growth and helps protect against cancer.

i don't have actual allergies, had the tests done and everything. But i do get sinus symptoms similar to allergy- Mainly congestion, can also be some clear water mucous wiht a runny nose. but it's mainly that my sinuses will decide not to drain and then i'll come down with an actual sinus infection if i don't resolve it soon enough.

no itchy watery eyes, no itchy throat, no sneezing, no coughing, etc.

so really, the only stuff that works for me is something with REAL pseudoephinedrine or similar decongestant, and a hit of anti-allergy which dampens the inflammation effect of the receptors that creates all the swelling and excess mucous. Thus Allegra D is AWESOME (dries me the fuck out) and Claritin D works OK too (allegra ins't covered by insurance since claritin is OTC, but allegra is way better for me, i bought a bottle and use it sparingly).

My little sister (10) has actual allergy and symptoms, itchy swollen eyes, sneezing, sinus symptoms- Zyrtec works wonders for her.

I use Claritin, but I haven't used anything else. My allergies aren't too severe though.
