Around midnight last night, as we were trying to sleep, I noticed a sort of clicking sound. It was driving me nuts, so we got up to see if we could find out what was causing it. The whole complex is fairly new, isn't it? Is there some kind of warantee that covers this issue? Should the builder be helping with this?

My building is about 10 years old, so it is probably too late to go after the builder. Oh well. :)

As someone who has just gotten to the end of a massive repair due to water leak damage, I can tell you it's not going to be fun. I agree with the tracking down the builder if the building is new idea.

If there is mold, be prepared for a long haul for safety/health clearance issues. And lots of loudness. Long periods of loudness.

Sadly, the building is nearly 10 years old so the problem is mine. I think the problem has only been there for a week or so. There isn't too much mold--we'll see how everything dries out. The joy...
