Love, love, love this! You already know how much I adore this AU. This may be my favorite part so far!

I like how you brought Joe into the story, and his conversation with Tim was wonderful - really puts into words what it's like to be part of the brotherhood.

And the ending is perfect. Definitely looking forward to seeing what's in their future!

I knew I wanted to bring Joe in, but I had to come up with a good story for him, and it felt right to make him one of the firefighters that saved Matt.

Yeah..."may be" my favorite part. Although, "(It's Like a Book) Elegantly Bound" and "Where I Belong" are right up there, too. It's so hard to choose! I love all of them, tbh.

As far as the moving in together angst you mentioned below, I can definitely see that happening. Matt's so independent, and Tim's so anxious to help. Somehow, this doesn't seem like the formula for 'instant unicorns and glitter.' Still, moving in together! *flails anyway* ;)

Not sure why I failed to mention the first-time "love you" - even if he was asleep, it was still awesome. So, the question is, does the truth really come out when you're talking in your sleep, or is that just what The Romantics want us to think? ;)

I have a soft spot for "(It's Like a Book) Elegantly Bound" in particular because I was very unsure about it, but it was so well received, and I adore the intimacy between the guys in it. And the revelations in "Where I Belong"... *hugs the guys* I've had so much fun exploring the relationship and each story certainly holds a special place in my 'favorites' (if an author can say that she has favorites :D).

Oh, yes - Matt's independence and Tim's need to help will definitely cause some clashes. But it'll work out - they love each other!

Both the "love you" and the moving in together were embroiderama's ideas - I took them and ran with them. I'd been trying to find a spot for the "love you" and I kind of like the ambiguity of Matt saying it in his sleep. Now to find the perfect spot for them to say it to each other when they're awake! :D

I have to agree with anodyneer that this might be my favorite part, the conversation between Joe and Tim was so wonderful and heartbreaking. And at the same time Tim's desire to be there for Matt, to protect him, it was a real d'awwwww moment for me. He loves him so much ♥

But YAY, they are moving in together *happy flail* The future seems so bright and perfect ♥

Thank you!! I really liked that conversation between Tim and Joe too, and Tim absolutely loves Matt all the way down to his toes. He really only wants what's best for him and to keep him safe and to help him... awwww, I love them so much together.

I do want to work on the Sharif piece of the story more. Originally, Sharif and Matt were going to talk in this one, but I couldn't quite squeeze it in. There will be another story about that in the future. Thank you!
