Oh, wooooow--I love the way June supports them in a way that they can accept, and that Peter and Elizabeth are there for them 100% but they can't handle that yet. The fact that Neal and Diana are dealing with Peter taking so long to find them is heartbreaking. Wow.

I love writing angst, but the angst of this one almost broke me. I tried to stay true to the emotions and feelings that I thought Neal and Diana would have, and I had to write this piece with their pain of not being rescued and not being able to escape for so long.

And Neal's thoughts are so sad and realistic after so long waiting for Peter to come...poor guys.

I wanted to be as realistic as I could, and it just makes sense that Neal would have those thoughts, however sad and difficult they are.

The moment with June is one of my favorites. I love the bond that she and Neal have formed as well. Thanks!
