I second everything you just said regarding Matt's eventual role in AHS. He's pretty much Ryan Murphy's muse at this point, no?

And since I really can't take much enjoyment in horror, I'll probably just wait for the screencaps to come out.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's Ryan's muse these days. I'm okay with that if he wants to make something more along the lines of Glee or The New Normal, but AHS is seriously not my genre of show. Nor was Nip/Tuck, for comparison's sake. Also, Lady Gaga being cast makes me even less interested.

I'm pretty confident that Matt will look amazing in most of the screencaps though, so that's something! I'm looking for the silver lining here. :D

And then there's Tim's new project.

Frankenstein.

Sheesh.

At least that's more crazy cop/procedural than spooky horror with dead bodies all over the place.

How are you doing?

LOL! Crazy cop/procedural! That's what I thought of it as too. I haven't seen much else about it though. The name itself makes me cringe, but I'm going to give it a shot because I love Tim so much.

Meh, work is killing all my creativity these days. It's making me sad which is killing it even more. Otherwise, there's not much going on. How are you?

Thanks so much for sharing the link to the Paley Fest discussion. I really appreciate it. I have mixed feelings about Matt being on the show. American Horror Story is not exactly my cup of tea, however, I am always up for seeing how Matt handles various roles so I will definitely watch it.If nothing else than to support him. I certainly wish him the best in every endeavor he pursues. I will admit having Lady GAGA as the lead actress gives me a bit of trepidation. I wish her the best as well and hope that she will bring something positive, new and exciting to the show. As far as Matt being Ryan Murphy's muse, I prefer to thing of him as someone who is loyal to those who have taken a chance on him.

I'm a big supporter of Paleyfest, and I'm so glad they made the panels VOD. I've gone to a few of the panels, and they're always interesting. I wish they'd done another WC one before it ended ( ... )

I woke up to this news and already had some time to discuss it. AHS is definitely not my type of show, I couldn't even sit through one episode. Everything about it is a big no for me.

But for Matt I am certainly willing to give it a try, especially if it means there is a lot of Matty to admire AND he is playing a part he has never played before. I do want to see him try and tackle playing a psycho :D

Worst case scenario - I will just ffw through the scenes without Matt :D And the caps, of course, looking forward to a new project. Let the Paley caps be a nice lead-in to that :D

As soon as I posted the thing about the screencaps, I was thinking of you and that I didn't mean that would fall on you! Because I know AHS isn't your thing either. We talked about it when he guest-starred.

Now that you've mentioned it, I would love to see him play a psycho. By why can't it be in a 90 minute movie? I feel like I could handle that much better. :D

The Paley caps are gorgeous - thank you so much for those!!

Heeee, oh believe me I will be all over both projects: AHS and Frankenstein even if the caps are the only thing I get out of them :D I need caps to keep my muse busy :D

Thankfully AHS is only 13 eps... and hey, who knows? Maybe it'll be the first season I will actually watch... I highly doubt it but, well... heee

The things we do for Matty :P

It would def be interesting to see Matt play a bad guy - but I think I'd prefer a role that didn't involve dead bodies.

YKWIM?

Wow, it took me a moment to recognize Ryan Murphy! I really dislike horror and gore so probably will skip it. Counting the minutes to Frankenstein though!

I need to find out more about Frankenstein. The name alone makes me cringe, but I do want to see Tim in other projects. I'll go on a fact finding mission later about Frankenstein.

I'm looking forward to it, because (she said somewhat shamefacedly) it sort of is my kind of show. I really liked Freak Show, and although the writing was a little uneven the acting was top notch. Whatever his character, I've no doubt Matt will nail it.

Excellent! Your mission, should you choose to accept it: As the official Matt-watcher of AHS:H, report back on the goings-ons of Matt's character and possibly keep an official shirtless scene number count. Good luck. This message will self-destruct in 5...4...

I was somewhat intrigued by Freak Show, though I still haven't gone back and watched the last few eps that I missed. I have a few friends who really liked S1 of AHS, and I've been thinking of checking it out, but my list of "things to watch" is too long already (finish Fargo S1, finish True Detective, try Jane the Virgin, maybe check out The Jinx...and I think I'm missing some other ones).

I am okay with horror as a genre as well, and am glad to see Matt in a role that a) is a major character, and b) has the potential to be a really different role for him. I look forward to hopefully seeing him dial up some creepy. :-)

Bottom line, you have at least one more AHS:H watcher who'll be happy to report back on what Matt's character is up to.
