Two Hundred Fifty Seventh Entry

This is one strange world we are living in....

Since I was a child, I had always been a quiet kid. I didn't go jumping and running and yapping all the time. Sometimes I did, but those were games after all. Mostly I had been really quiet.

Even after I grow up now, there is nothing in this world I love more than peaceful silence. My most favoured hobby ( Read more... )

People have a really annoying habit of judging you without getting to know you. That's a sad truth, unfortunately. They see you walking alone, and they presume that you have no friends. They say, "You don't have a life!" just because you prefer to stay home. They even tend to judge you based on whether you have a boyfriend or not. It's foolish, but such is human nature. ^_^;;

The point is, are you happy? Really happy? If you do things that make you happy, then never mind what they're saying...let them be ignorant. And if you're not happy, then find something that does make you happy! If it's being with friends, so be it...and if it's sleeping, that's fine too. The point is, it's your life, not theirs...let them judge you. In the end, you know yourself better than they ever will. :-)

Hehe, I hope that makes sense.

That makes perfect sense! I don't understand why they don't get such easy stuffs.
I know my hobbies are a bit weird. Daydreaming is one of those weird hobbies but I like it >=(((((((

yo! long time no nothing, but i do keep reading your stuff.
and i do agree with striderexile, judging others is just human nature. we judge others using ourselves as comparison, and usually - whether we like to admit it or not - we think less of those who are not like us.
true though, as much as similar people seek one another's company, also differences attract. no one's ever implied human nature is simple...
anyway, if you're happy doing what you do, why should it mater whether it is agreeable to others (since you're not doing anything morally questionable x) )? there are many kinds of friendship, and most of them do not require constant physical presence.
and...err...damn, lost my line of thought. and i was just getting started. oh well, - insert wise and witty argumentation on defending your right to be just as you are and screw everyone else here -
i like daydreaming too, i'm an excessive thinker extraordinaire :)
