Absence Makes the Heart Feel Heavier

I am writing this to declare that I am alive, but I am not pleased with myself.

I’m writing from Dublin, Ireland; a place I did not expect to find myself on this trip, but I came nonetheless.

I apologize for not writing, for not posting, and for not being an active participant in the LotS_Femslash community. To say that it has weighed heavily on ( Read more... )

Welcome back! :) We missed you (and your awesome writing) but I know that you have been embarking on an enriching journey of personal and cultural development (you globe-trotter lucky you! :D ) and I'm happy for you. Thank God all that deportation craziness has been taken cared of (Gah! I cannot even imagine the worry and terror that you must have felt on that airport, talking with the blasted people from the US Embassy of Dublin! Good thing the Irish are cool peeps! :D )

Anyway, sorry for the ramble. Glad you are back and safe. The fandom (as well as Cara and Kahlan [well, the Cara and Kahlan you are keeping alive in your stories and in our head] missed you a lot :))

I've heard that Ireland is about as laid back a country as you can get. I was too young to notice when I was over there myself, but some friends of mine who just moved over there a year ago say everyone has a 'we'll get to it soon enough' attitude. I hope you take advantage of that chill atmosphere after all that craziness you just described!

Super glad you're back. Super glad you're alive. Love the new journal look;) And I hope you're not being too hard on yourself. You've given this comm some absolutely fantastic writing! I don't want you to feel like you've let us down for not doing more. Because seriously, my only contribution to LotS fic is a Zedd/Clara piece of crack. Which, while totes awesome, doesn't inspire random, fluffy images to pop up in my head during a boring day at work and make my day a little brighter. Privacy does that, and I'm really thankful that you gave us that :)

This was an awesome post to read. :D I enjoyed hearing about what you've been doing, and I envy your ability to travel like that - A LOT! You're going to have fond memories of all of the worst bits of this in a few years; trust me! lol ;) (Makes for a better story!)

I wish you didn't feel so horribly guilty about 'letting us down' in any way, shape or form. Anything anyone contributes here (in this comm) is a gift, truly - and I think everyone thinks that. Nobody truly and honestly feels like they're entitled...really. I mean, some may joke; may whine...but in the end, we're all just happy, enjoying what you & others DO share with us, and grateful.

OK?

IT IS OKAY!!!! :)

Anyway, glad you're well, and safe (safely 'official'-lol)...and: reeeelax! :P

Any by the way, I LOVE "Animal Nature" and will rabidly devour (see wut I did thair?) any additions/expansions you supply to that 'verse.

Thanks for the cool update post & chronicle of your travels. I was curious. :)
