Same Song - Different Idol

Been meaning to do this for a while, but I am so lazy. So, kinda stealing this from TWOP, but, as we all know, Idol has a lot of repeat performances. So I thought I'd do a little poll on who performed each repeat better. And why not start out with one of the most repeated songs ever, Heart's "Alone", performed almost every season since season four

I'm not at all a fan of Carrie (though try getting "Before He Cheats" out of your head, I DARE you) but her version was the best, and though I've loved every contestant after her, I've always thought none of them should have attempted it.

What I LOVE about Idol repeat songs is that, barring his audition, David never did another song performed on Idol previously. :D

Other - Carly Smithson, Season 7 (Hollywood Week)

I know, I know, you're probably only counting voting rounds (I get that every time I comment on an "Alone"/American Idol poll), but I can't help it.

Not to mention, if you watch Carly's version and then Allison's version, Allison changed up the same notes that Carly originally did. ;)

They had one of these polls at americanidol, and when a bunch of people commented about Carly's version, the OP was all "ONLY VOTING ROUNDS, BITCHES. MUAHAHAHAHA."

Ah, well, now I don't feel very original with my post, even though I was stealing it from somewhere else anyway :-P LOL How many of these polls have they done?? Should I not continue?

So, I had to go with Carrie, purely for the fact the hers was the only one I remembered before I watched the videos... and that's what? Some 4 years later? I even remember being impressed that week and thinking she might just win this thing. lol

Allison has probably come the closest, but I doubt anyone's gonna really be able to match Carrie's...

I think I go for Allison. I actually didn't remember Carrie's. But I was hardcore on the Bo train that year. Carrie definitely blew that song out of the water though.

This was soooo hard, because I totally adore Carrie´s version of the song. But in the end, I think it sounded a little better with Alison´s huskier 'rock' voice.

But I heart both of them. This poll is mean. :P

I got for Allison, too. But Carrie did a great job on it, too. :)
