I'm sorry to hear that you're so down. Do you feel like it's situational or does it seem like there's no good reason for it? I ask because I've also been depressed and for me, sadly, the only answer has been medical intervention.
Try not to be so hard on yourself for stressing your wife. We wives have a thing about trying to care for (and about) our husbands and we usually don't send in a bill at the end of the day :-)

It's all situational and self-loathing. I can't stand to be in the same room as myself right now. I hate the man in the mirror. And, I don't know how I'm going to get through it all. Will finding a job make me feel better? I have no idea. I have three job interviews tomorrow and I still don't want to be around me.

Have you ever needed a vacation from yourself?

Oh have I! It's a rough spot to be in. I hope something turns around for you. Maybe some time to commune with Spirit will lift you up, do you like taking walks?
Or perhaps that's a uniquely Pagan perspective..

Well, I did go take a walk (I live ridiculously close to the beach) and I did feel better for it. I still feel like things are still out of my control but I do feel better.

Thanks.
