I came for Hugh and Jen but got a pleasant surprise when I saw Pillars of the Earth also! Have you read the book or did you just see the HBO movie?

I have only seen the Starz mini-series, but I still need to read the book (I'm not that good with books) even if my mom already read it and thought it was a really good adaptation.

Well, the book is extremely good, though IMO it's a bit hard to get into at the beginning. I think you'd have an easier time though since you've already seen the miniseries, even though there are quite a few changes. There's also a sequel (which I liked even better) called World Without End that follows some of their descendants during the 14th century (plague, war, etc). Anyways, I'd really recommend both books!
