Thanks so much, sweetie! *hugs back* It wasn't hard to write once I got the plot premise in my head. Still not my kink, though - I much prefer dominant Amanda - but it wasn't as squicky for me to do as I thought, and it was kind of fun to try something new.

Considering the kind of relationship and trust you've established between Amanda and Zep, I could imagine her being willing to allow this level of submission. Besides, it was done out of love, which makes it all the more beautiful. I personally don't care about the gender of the dominant or submissive partner, but considering that this is something that usually squicks you it makes an already excellent fic all the more astounding. John also got a good distraction from his suffering :D

I need to check out some of the other fics in this comm!

Yes, this kind of thing usually is one of my biggest squicks, but I was able to write it on this level. I don't think I could ever do a permanently submissive Amanda though!

I don't think I could imagine a permanently submissive Amanda. Well, I could imagine her doing whatever John asks of her, as she's just so devoted, but I think John would prefer her in an equal or dominant role, both due to his sickness and as he's trying to mould her into a powerful successor.
