I think I may have found what the problem with poliamory is for me - I don't have enough time to give one person the attention I would like to give them. Trying to give it to two people at the same time is a sure way to run me into the ground.

And yet, it's worth it.

Thumbs up. On both counts.

Oh, I seem to have missed something - I thought you lived with Barak and that was it. Was I being naive?

I do live with Barak and love him to no end and plan to wed him and bare his children. I do however have another relationship with a female friend who is very dear to me and whom I love as well.

Cut me off if and when I become too nosy: what kind of relationship does SHE have with Barak, and how does Barak feel about this sharing?

I am asking this not because of mindless curiosity - for me it's a precious insight into the lives of people who live NOW as our ancestors did in Biblical times (think Jacob, Rachel and Leah).

Barak was actually the one who introduced us. Her relationship with Barak is of friendship and nothing more. At first I thought it would be odd but I guess I adjusted.

Actually, it's a common complaint from polyamorists. It's why it didn't work out for me, either. (Of course, you aren't the kind to hyperfocus like I do, either.) You seem to have too much love to give just one person, but not enough time for two. It's a dilemma.

I've been in a similiar relationship once, and it went pretty well except for my one personal fault: I tend to be so spaced that I didnt give enough attention to either of them.

Fortunately, they were both pretty spaced out themselves, so. It worked out somehow.
