Interesting! I like all the parallels you drew here between Aaron and his real and adopted mothers, and Cassidy with her parents, both in attitude and choices. I also like how Sayid being Ji Yeon's stepdad is part of your personal canon. My favourite part was his complicated and eerie dreams. Once again you made all the kids feel so real.

I've been struggling with writing a rather epic story. I might do the same as you, and turn it into a one shot.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I remember reading my first Sun/Sayid fic and being hooked on the possibility. They just really work for me...almost more so than canon ships I have. I would be really happy if Sayid was able to experience some sense of family since we haven't seen anything of his and he seems so lonely, like Sun post-island is. But I really, really doubt that they'll ever be canon which is what I have these second generation fics for. hehe.

And I totally understand your struggle. Right now, I felt like I was racing the clock until the season premiere. It's not that I'm not excited for the new season, but you know once the show returns it's going to screw with everyone's sense of canon and start nudging new plot bunnies. Having a WIP during the season just didn't seem like a good idea for my flighty fic muse. Oneshots are such a nice alternative option. Either way you decide to go, I wish you tons of luck with your story! :)

This is absolutely gorgeous. I like how it's both vague and obvious at the same time. Also, Sayid being Ji Yeon's stepfather? Wow. And it's so...believable, realistic, I don't know. I read it and wasn't surprised or confused by it. It felt right.

Anyway, I like the relationship between Clementine and Aaron. Clementine has to be at least a couple of years older than he is, and she acts it, whether you intended it to be that way or not.

This is beautiful, and compelling, and everything I look for in a fic.

Oh wow. Thank you so much for the feedback! I was afraid that this was too vague at times so I'm glad you felt a balance there. I did intend to make Clementine seem older, which was difficult to write since I'm still not sure what exactly the age gap between her and Aaron is.
