Happy 13th Birthday to my baby girl

I haven't reflected much this May, I haven't even cried. May is usually hard for me with Mothers Day, Birth Mothers Day, and Ash's birthday but this year it came and went. I think because of all the drama that is going on with my nephew and brother I just haven't had the time to really reflect and think about Ash. Her mom even started the emailing

Of course, it does not mean you do not care or love her if you aren't crying. I'm glad you are realizing that Janel, as I often struggle with that as well. I'm so at peace with Kaylee's adoption I rarely ever cry or feel the grief that I so often see other birthmoms go through and I think something is wrong with me! But, you are right, there is nothing wrong with being ok with our children's adoptions and missing them without being torn constantly by grief. *hugs to you* Celebrate yourself today as well, Janel, for giving that beautiful girl life on this day :-)

She is absolutely beautiful and looks SOOOO much like you! There is nothing wrong with not crying. There is a lot going on in your life - and you're having contact which is usually helpful as well. I often don't have tears - this Mother's day was one that I didn't. It's normal and don't think it's not. I'm glad it's getting easier for you. That's great! You gave her life. Be proud!
