Oh my god. Sobbing. Everything about this is perfect. It's elegant, not too overbearing but has enough detail to really get what they're feeling.

And the Maiden joke was a nice uplifter.

Oh no! No sobbing, please! I'm so glad that you liked the - what I find to be - small amount of detail. After the first draft I thought, "I don't think there's enough explanation of feelings! More things exploding inside of people!" and even after I published it, I was just hoping that the heartache would come across clear enough. So I love this comment, I do, I do.

And yes. I thought that this story needed a little bit of a laugh brought to you by the TSNs resident funny men.

I am crying right now. My keyboard is covered in tears.
I wish I could give a copy of this to everyone who considers suicide, because it might save some lives.
I know it gave me a new lease on mine.
Thank you for writing such a beautiful, horrible, painful, wonderful piece.

The whole suicide topic is very near to me because I've had a friend kill himself, and I too, use to suffer from deep depression/thoughts of suicide and the ONE thing that kept me going was how my family/friends would feel once I was gone. I beg you, if you're considering suicide, to take that into massive consideration because - at least for me - it was my one saving grace. However, if you're still thinking about, I hope that you can find someone willing to listen (and I'm always here!) because talking out your problems always seems to help. Thank you so much for the comment about my work, I honestly appreciate it, but I do hope you'll take these words into consideration as well.

For me, my religion normally keeps me intact - but I, too, have seen how a a suicide can tear a family apart. I will definitely take your words to heart.

Elegantly worded, very emotional/filled with grief. Nice job.

I'm the OP and this is pure brilliance.
I'm sorry for taking so long to comment. This is filled with emotion and you described the reactions exactly as I imagined. Amazing job! And, seriously, who read this and didn't cry needs to buy a heart somewhere...I'm sobbing.
