Weeelll, I'm probably not the person to ask about slash. Not a big slash fan and I refuse to believe that Gaeta would be dumb enough to be in love with Baltar anymore (if he ever was). Cerebel's one of the few consistent slash writers that I enjoy reading.
I think it fit in fine with your fic and it didn't dominate it, which was good since the story wasn't really about that. Gaeta seemed OOC to me in that scene or maybe it just felt like it moved too quickly. I just don't picture him being quite so aggressive without lots of booze in him or more build up to them having sex. Six was excellent in this scene.
I don´t think that loving someone has something to do with intelligenz. The slashpart was a reason for his anger so Tigh got the beating Baltar would have deserved ;-). I didn´t think he was aggressiv, on the contrary, Baltar´s needs came frist for him and Baltar just needed "help" because he didn´t have experience with man, but Gaeta had.My idea was that Gaeta wanted him from S1, so S3 was a long time to wait for it, to me it´s no surprise that he wouldn´t say no when Baltar finally made a move on him. And Gaeta is an adult, not a teenager.
