[Elias] Christmas Taxi Date, Friday night

The car looks no different when she pulls up to the curb in front of Elias's house. She hasn't turned it all on yet.

Instead, she calls him to tell him to come out...she'll turn it on when he's outside the house.

She spent an hour getting everything ready and hooked up.

She's excited for him to see it.

He peeks out the window, just in case she isn't really there. Who knows? He worries about things like that. Seeing that yes, she's actually there, he grins and is soon out the door.

When she sees him come out, she begins turning things on.

There are Christmas lights around every window except for the front windshield. There is a little purple Christmas tree, all lit up, in the back seat. There are Christmas garlands around the seats and a ornament hanging from her rear view mirror. She has scattered fake snow all over the seats and the floor boards.

And there are Christmas songs in the CD player.

Elias is astounded. Astounded!

He lets out a laugh and comes over, looking very much like a wide-eyed kid on Christmas morning. "This is amazing!"

"Merry Christmas!" Angela says, leaning over to kiss him. "Happy New Year."

Hopefully this year will be better than the last.

She waits until he's fastened his seat belt and then pulls away from the curb. The heat is already on, everything is really warm, and it's very homey for a car.

"I guess you like it, then."
