It's been a long time since I wrote about a book. If you haven't heard of it or haven't read it then you've got to go out to your nearest library or bookstore. I urge you to pick up a copy and start reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire. Don't hesitate. I swear, it's worth every cent of it. It's not a bestselling novel for nothing, you know.

Oh this book, i read some tidbits around 6 years ago and right now i am looking of a way to purchase it, just like the sequel books "the Witch's son", "A lion among men" and I think "out of oz", but the wicked book is my goal at the moment.

I have only seen the musical that was based on this book and man it was great, i had the honor to watch it when Idina Menzel was playing Elphaba and Kristin Chenoweth was Glinda....i wish to see this musical again.

Please read it! You won't regret reading it! I've seen some clips of the musical and it was wonderful. Idina's voice was so powerful. Her chemistry with Kristin was also amazing! But I think it had a rather different tone and different story from the book... Elphaba loathed the Wizard but maybe that's just me. I haven't seen it completely yet. *laughs* Anyway! I'm glad to find someone who appreciates the book as well.

The "Other Worlds" theme seemed like it was possible to crossover this book with others. What do you think? :)

the bit i was able to read of the book was great, the musical is great, no wonder if one of the best musicals in history according to what i have read and it does deserves, and yes i am sure i will love the book. And yes the musical is different but so is the case with the phantom of the opere and still both things are great, except the sequel of the phantom musical.

i do think so as well, i mean it leaves open many possibilities and it will be nice to explore it.

Yes! You will love the book. It's really amazing. I was swept away. And I'm a girl who adores books that keeps the reader imprisoned. :)

Are you still active TMB? I'm afraid that I don't go there much anymore... :)
