Wait a second, I'm confused. How is any of this your problem? it seems like those guys were making it your problem, but the plan doesn't expire until July! That isn't anyone's fault! It just seems like there's all this bullshit happening for no reason. >:c

I call Bullshit.
My sis worked for AT&T as customer service rep (not sales) for 5+ yrs.
If the primary wants you off, they're the ones that have to do it, and can do it with a simple phone call.
And the termination fee can be waived because your phone is a part of their plan, but they are not technically terminating the plan in its entirety, just the one line, which you are actually switching to a new plan...
Also don't let them bully you into start up fees cause you don't need those either.
Technically who ever is the primary can just cut you off and you can go get a new plan. They will usually ask you if you have a # that you want on the phone.
If its too much Hassle (with a capital H) to keep your old # just get a new one Angel cause you are trying for a clean slate right? That's one way to go. Guarantee that ex-mom-in-law-to-be can't nag you if she don't have your number.

The problem with getting a new phone number is that I have a few job applications floating around out there that has my number. :/
But yeah, they originally told me to just go in to the store and take myself off the plan on this specific date (today) and when I did that, no, appparently I an't do that. The main person on the account has to and I couldn't get a hold of him so I was pretty much stuck on the plan.
And IDK both the guy at the store and my ex's family say there's a termination fee. :/
Pay as you go with a smart phone is ridiculously expensive and I am ridiculously poor. I can barely afford a pay as you go with a regular phone. My iPhone is pretty much going to just be an iPod when the contract expires. Also, I looked into it and you can't use an AT&T iPhone with Verizon. You have to buy it with that specific company. So I'm pretty much going to be stuck on a pay as you go plan with a regular phone until I'm not hurting for money any more.
Pay as you go is a month to month deal and there are different plans based on what type of phone you have and how many minutes/data you want. The cheapest plan for a smart phone is $75 and it doesn't include texting or data. However, for $50 I can get unlimited everything on a regualr phone (data, texting, calling). If I were to try to get data and texting on a smart phone it goes over $100. And I'm sure a phone card would work on a landline, but not a cell phone. The phone has to have service before you can call out.
