Well, I'm to the point in my SuperWhoLock Bing Bang where the two story lines are merging together and now I have Dean, Sam, Cas, John, Sherlock, and the Doctor all standing in one room...
Well I'm not British, but I do know it's "flat". Australians tend to use that one a lot, but we seem to have adopted "apartment" for when we want to sound a bit more upper class (and "condo" for even more posh).
