Awwww...I *adored* the idea of Summer/Ryan. The OC really should have let the couples experiment more, the stagnance is what killed that show.

Yeah. And it didn't help that Marissa was a sucking void of awful. Why would I want her with my favorite character? I was so excited when Lindsay came along, but that went in the crapper, of course.

That pretty much sums it up. And you *nailed* Seth's asshattish selfishness. What a child he was, right to the end. And I loved Sandy's "Would you like a bagel?" I think that's his version of offering a drink.

And your icon is droolworthy...

I'm so glad you approve of my Seth characterization. I was sort of befuddled why fandom was always so gaga over him. Sure, he was appealingly dorky in S1, but then he just got completely egocentric and annoying. I just wanted more Ryan. :)

And Sandy is 37 kinds of awesome. I very much enjoyed my bagel line.

This was really fantastic - I enjoyed it a lot.

“I’m in love with your son,” she informed him.

“Oh. Well, Seth is still asleep, but if you’d like to wait…”

“Not that son.”

He took a step back. “Would you like a bagel?”

That part in particular was absolutely spot on; you captured the characters' voices perfectly.
