Title: When You Stopped Writing

Summary: Kid Devil is all that stands between Red Hood and Robin. OYL era.
Disclaimer: The characters are DCs. The inspiration is Teen Titans #42, the plot-bunny is lanaoceanid’s, the story is mine.

( Robin. Red Hood. Nightwing. Nothing. He’ll be any of those other three, but he won’t be Nothing. )

OMG I wanted to respond to this as soon as I read it but crappy work computer will let me read but not post. As it is, I've had a lot of time to think about how wonderful this was.

No need for strike-throughs. I think it would be pretty in-character for Tim to wait until marriage. That "chivalrous gentleman" thing he has going for him is one of my favorite Tim characteristics. I find Jason's insanity to be very angsty and enjoyable. I can't help but wonder, though, how the story would go if he were to regain some of his old sanity. It would be difficult to pull off and remain in-character, but it would be very fascinating.

Methinks Jason would aprove of Tim doing something as dastardly as highly illegal cloning. It's something Bruce should have tried for him. I want to believe that in different circumstances, Tim and Jason would be a good team... Jason would be brash where Tim is the master planner, and Tim would be able to reign him in.Though considering the fact that Jason is older, bigger, stronger, etc. it seems more likely that Jay would be the elder brother trying to ( ... )

Thank you. I was worried about him being in-character since I'm only familiar with him from the last few Teen Titans issues. Glad you feel that I nailed him. ^_^

Oh thank you! You have no idea how happy I was to see that one little panel in Teen Titans.
Nice to see someone incorporate it into fic.

We need more Eddie fic too :D

This could've totally happened, couldn't it? Eddie and Jason did have a canon relationship, and Jason was still feeling on the outs with the Teen Titans (and Tim), so... Yeah. I'm just going to believe this was canon because Jason would have absolutely told Eddie to hold it over Tim so they could both enjoy Robin shitting a few bricks over it. Awesome fic!
