Vampire Stuff

Twilight: I've never read the books, but I've heard about them. It sounds puerile, but amusing. As it stands, I do believe I'm gonna go see the movie. The trailers fascinate, and I can appreciate a good (or bad) vampire tale.

Eh-heh-heh...I've never been one for vampires, but the 'Twilight' series just bored me to death. I'm hoping that the upcoming movie is as much of a flop as 'Eragon' was, in that 'Eragon' was so bad it was good. That's about as much as we can hope for with 'Twilight.'

I saw "Eragon" on my birthday and since then, my boyfriend has been begging me to read the book, claiming that he film didn't do it justice at all. I have a hard time getting enthused enough to crack the thing. I'd much rather read my Narnia books, or even give Twilight a shot. Not that I have time to read any of the above.

Eragon is painful. Very, very painful. My brother loves it, but I can't bare to even *look* at the thing...(shudder)

Twilight was a huge disappointment to me. I love paranormal romance, but the books sucked. I want to say it was written for Tweens, not Teens, because generally I enjoy YA fiction. I'll download the movie, because generally I seem to enjoy the movies if I hate the books. Same goes with Eragon- the book was full of pointless drivel, and so the movie cut down a lot of that. Of course it was a total LOTR knock-off, but I didn't feel like I wasted the hours of my life watching the movie the way I did attempting to read the book ( ... )

I'm surprised to find someone who liked the Eragon movie. I saw the movie and felt that it was atrocious. My boyfriend has been begging me to read the book, saying it was far better than the mish-mash that was the film.

I'm kinda selective about my paranormal/vampire stuff. I've never been able to bring myself to start on any Buffy, and I'm rather pressed for time to start a new book series just now. My old vamp fandoms include Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, Van Helsing, Vampire Hunter D, Underworld, Fray, Lost Boys (old: movie... curent: comics), and currently the Anita Blake Comics. I still haven't found the time to crack those books either. But I do want to.

"Bitten and Smitten." Heh. The title has me lol-ing.

Reading about vampires is cool, and you've just given me a whole new array of stuff to add to my ever-growing reading list.

I got through one and a half of the Twilight books before I just gave up. Puerile about covers it, as the amusement wears thin very fast. And I didn't even know that someone was making it into a movie.

I haven't read Anita Blake since Danse Macabre. Think it's worth it to find any new ones? I thought the series was beginning to read like its own fan fiction, but perhaps I judged it too harshly.

Would you mind if I friended you?

Please friend away, by all means.

I haven't read any Anita Blake books. I'm currently reading the comic books, which, as I understand, are kinda based off the books but I don't know the details on that.

As for Twilight... I just hope I find the time to discover its badness for myself.
