*applauds* Excellent rant, love! They should have asked about "other languages", since this question would dismiss my ambition to learn some sign language one day [I don't think being only able to sign "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" will get me very far, do you?]. I did consider learning Welsh at one time, but I'd never call it 'foreign'; and I failed miserably at trying to learn Urdu once from a TV programme. And I remember being faced with Olde English as an A level student and thinking "WTF?!"

I'm blaming my grumpiness on another migraine; but then I have got the fan on me. :D

Well exactly, it's ridiculously uninclusive really isnt it?

Maybe we should just admit that we're grumpy women. full stop.

I've been on the blower [bad pun, intentionally made] to DT and he says he'll be right over with a fan just before the show starts. ;D

Is he going to put on a private show for me then? Also, let him know I expect him to be in Egyption loincloth costume!

BTW, I've just this moment had another one of those LTNW incidents. One day, I'll write a book ;)

It's definately cooler today and set to cool some more next week. I think you'll notice a lot of change in London since the early 80's. Have fun exploring! Did I say Brunswick Centre by Russel Sq the other day talking about food places? Patisserie Vallerie.

I'll give the setter the benefit of the doubt that they wanted to talk about expanding worldview.

Yay on the cooler!!! Oh no I was in London for two months last year with my work, so I have been there more recently ( and quite a few times over the years as well since 1980) sorry was just doing my saggy reminisce. Yes, I love th Brunsick Centre... I think I might have mentioned that I'm a huge fan of Brutalism and of course BC is a glorious example of that. Cannot wait... three weeks to go... keep those temps down for me!!!

Ah of course, I remember now! I'll see what I can do about the temperature, although Ive got a weekend off, 2nd weekend of september, so I'd quite like the sunshine then, so no promises ;)
